FIP Ambassadors PahangInternational (FIP) Polo Ambassadors arrived in Malaysia over the weekend for the start of the tour of the 67th FIP Ambassadors Cup.  This very friendly tournament was organised by the Royal Malaysian Polo Association to foster friendship between Malaysia and FIP.

The 67th FIP Ambassadors Cup got off to a fantastic start at the Putrajaya Equestrian Park on Thursday 16th April as four teams of FIP Ambassadors took to the field.

The FIP Ambassadors had had a tour of Putrajaya before their Police escorted bus made its way to the polo field at the Putrajaya Equestrian Park.  HRH Tengku Mahkota Pahang, the President of the Royal Malaysian Polo Association hosted a tea in the VIP room of the grandstand before the seven FIP Ambassadors headed off to find their mounts.

Local players were mixed in with the FIP Ambassadors to form four teams in the tournament, and while teams will generally remain the same, more will get a chance to play with them over the weekend.

Laksamana scores second win in 67th FIP Ambassadors Cup

The 67th FIP Ambassadors Cup came to Kuala Lumpur proper for the final weekend.  The FIP Ambassadors had played at the Royal Pahang Polo Club and at Putrajaya Equestrian Park . The tournament moved to the Royal Selangor Polo Club for the weekend.  The four teams played the second day of their league at RSPC.

Ambassadors EurocopterMalaysia Eye 2015 World Polo Championship Host Job

KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 (Bernama) -- Malaysia, being among the best polo playing nations in Asia, hope to bid for the 2015 World Polo championships host job.

Royal Malaysian Polo Association (RMPA) vice president Datuk Mohamed Moiz Jabir Ali said the association had already reached a consensus after discussing the matter.

"We have the infrastructure, facilities and the horses that meet the standards set, so it will not be a problem," he told Bernama here Saturday.

The Bendaharas needed to win this match to win the tournament, while for Laksamana, a draw would be enough for the tournament victory.  The match went right down to the final bell as the Bendaharas ended Laksamana’s unbeaten run in the 67th FIP Ambassadors Cup which concluded at the Royal Selangor Polo Club on Sunday.malaysiawebchico.jpg
