The Beresford Gallery was started in the early 1970’s by founder
Kathleen Costello Beer, an accomplished artist, author and art teacher
who found it hard to represent herself. A great outdoorswoman and
horsewoman, Kathleen leaned toward what she knew best, Sporting Art.
She also took her strength in teaching art to find, coach and guide
young talented artists into successful careers. She helped them
graduate to different mediums, improve their color decisions and find
their personal artistic strengths.
Sadly, Kathleen passed away in 2001 from the complications of cancer.
Her daughter, Elizabeth Beer, has taken over the Gallery fulltime. It
has been five years now and Beresford Gallery is really booming.
