Chilean Government ready to work with his National Polo Federation |
|
Following the tradition to open the doors of the Government Palace La Moneda for the outstanding sportsmen, Chilean President Michelle Bachelet received the National Team that obtained the 2008 World Polo Championship of the specialty played in Mexico.
The Chilean team was greeted by the Female leader of State and the minister Secretary General of Government, Francisco Vidal, in a brief but relaxed ceremony, marking by the praises and gratefulness to the group of young people by “the joy that they gave to the country”.
“This great prize, this great World Polo Championship that you finish winning in Mexico, is also good for Chile and the sport in general, because in addition they shows us that there are sport disciplines beyond the traditional ones, in whom Chile can emphasize and obtain important triumphs” the president said.
The selected ones were catalogued by Bachelet like a “model” to follow for the young people, by its effort, disciplines, rigor and commitment for being the best ones in their specialty.
The Chilean President recognized that the exercise of this discipline depends fundamentally on the effort of the families of the players and for that reason was in favor “to continue working together”, to be able to fulfill as important objectives as already reached.
