The latest edition of the Desert Palm UAE Nations Cup was won by the UAE squad, who defeated the USA 8-6 at Desert Palm Polo Club, Dubai, on 30 January. The semi-finals saw Pakistan taking third place, beating Nigeria by a significant 9-2.

The victorious UAE team consisted of Rashid bin Drai, Musab Alwandanwi, Ali Albwardy and Martin Valent. The USA line-up comprised Alan Meeker, Bob Mehm, Alan Martinez and Wilf Laugher.

The trophy was present by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.
