The 4th Heritage cup was played as a weekend fixture at the Royal Miliary Academy Sandhurst on 1st and 2nd August.

Royal Pahang of Malaysia, playing in black shirts and striped white tie sponsored by T.M Lewin, with Officer Cadet HH Amir Ibrahim Shah and his two cousins HH Shahrain Sulaiman Shah & HH Shahrzril Ezani Sulaiman and Richard Blake Thomas dominated the final and defeated the British Army Officers in white and Sandhurst tie, led Team Captain Martin Riglos (5), 12-5½.

Open Polo, beautiful fast runs, horsemanship and elegance was shown throughout the tournament and spectators enjoyed the summer sunshine and looked their part with the ladies in summer dresses and period hats.
Royal Pahang with a polo history of three generations made the spirit of Heritage Polo come alive in full swing.

The theme of Heritage Polo was followed even by the umpires who dressed in period clothes and top hat and the polo manager elegantly umpired side saddle.

Visiting teams came from Pakistan with Col Talha (1), the United States of America with Charlie Muldoon (5), Switzerland Helvetica with Tom Hunt (4), and Argentina with Pepe Riglos (5), raising the tournament to a spectacular level of polo in period dress shirt and tie.

Before the final the International Team won over the English Ladies, with Officer Cadet Claire Blakiston in an exhibition match, with limited edition clothing designed by Barbara Zingg inspired by Victorian times and military cavalry uniforms, produced by Liberty Freedom.
