Ladies Heritage Cup 2008

ladies_heritage_cup_2008.jpgHeritage Polo is the revival of polo in the 1900’s. Ladies polo was played in the US in 1912 and British Empire Army Officer Cadets at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1885.

Polo history was brought back to life at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst on 28th and 29th June in a fresh concept with a weekend fixture of 4 teams performing in old English wear dress code, sponsored by Ludlow of London Ltd and TM Lewin.

After two days of polo and exhibitions from the Side Saddle Riding Association, RMA Staff College Dragg Hounds Parade, Piper & Army Band, etc, the weekend ended with the final match, where The Amazons of Brazil took the cup after defeating the Ladies ladies1.jpgArmy Polo 5 goals to 41/2.
