USPA has proposed to postpone the XII World Polo Championship until fall 2022 based on the ongoing worldwide uncertainties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Partners USPA Global Licensing, J5 and the Empire Polo Club all support the postponing of the event as well.
Current travel restriction as well as uncertainty on when they will be lifted were the main deciding factors for the postponement, this way avoiding any travel issues that may arise, especially for the 5 Zone playoffs that have to be held before the final round.
This was proposed by the USPA Board of Governors and approved by FIP´s Executive Committee.
