Argentina Wins Sub-Zone B Qualifying Series as Peru Hosts World Championship Qualifier

Argentina won the Sub-Zone B qualifying series for the XIII FIP World Polo Championship, overcoming Peru by an aggregate score of 13–12.5 after two closely contested matches at Lima Polo Club in Peru.
Argentina won the first match 7–6, before Peru claimed the return match 6.5–6. The aggregate result secured Argentina the series by half a goal, marking an important step in the qualification process for the World Championship, scheduled to take place in Punta del Este, Uruguay, in February 2027.
Argentina’s final qualification pathway will be determined by the FIP, which will decide whether the team qualifies directly for the World Championship or must compete in a further qualifying match against the winner of the other Sub-Zone B match between Chile and Brazil.
The FIP congratulates Argentina on winning the Sub-Zone B qualifying series and commends both teams for their participation and commitment throughout the competition.
The Federation also extends its sincere appreciation to the Peruvian Polo Federation, Lima Polo Club, and all individuals who contributed horses and other resources to support the event. Their commitment and collaboration were essential to the successful organization of the qualifying series and reflect the spirit of cooperation that underpins the international polo community.
