Lima Polo Club hosted the International Youth Polo Tournament from May 21 to 24, bringing together young players from Peru, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Colombia in Pachacamac, Peru.

Held alongside the international Test Matches between Peru and Argentina, the youth tournament added an important development component to a week of polo, competition and international exchange.

The event featured four teams: Nazca, Moche, Paracas and Chavín. Nazca claimed the title with Cristóbal Bustamante, Florencio Uranga, Galo Masías, Santiago Ditrich and Rufino Uranga. Uranga, who was part of the winning team, was unable to attend the prize ceremony after going to the clinic following a fall.

Paracas finished as runner-up with Gonzaga Valdez, Bautista Caraballo, Santiago Quinde and Adrián Hanschke.

Other participating players included Ignacio Checa, Tomás Medina, Cristóbal Pedraglio, Gonzalo Valdez, Violeta Mianovich, Alonso Mulanovich, Diego Medina and Tomás Grajales.

The tournament highlighted the importance of youth polo as a pathway for player development, sportsmanship and international friendship. Through development efforts connected to the Olympic movement, these events help create opportunities for young players to compete, learn and build relationships across countries.

FIP congratulates Lima Polo Club, the participating players, coaches and families, and extends its sincere thanks to the Peruvian Polo Federation, one of the founding members of the Federation of International Polo in 1982, for its continued commitment to youth polo and the development of the sport in the region.
