The 131st FIP Ambassador’s Cup was held in Asunción, Paraguay, bringing together six teams for a new chapter in one of the Federation of International Polo’s most traditional tournaments.
Hosted at the Campo de Polo of Regimiento de Caballería N° 4, the event once again highlighted the spirit that has made the Ambassador’s Cup a unique fixture on the FIP calendar: international friendship, cultural exchange and a shared passion for polo.
The tournament opened with the official team presentation and shirt ceremony, welcoming the six participating teams: La Gloria, Medellín, Arroyos y Esteros, Los Baguales – 4 Rincones, RC 4 and Los Primos. Players from different polo communities came together in Asunción for a weekend where competition and camaraderie went hand in hand.

The Copa Embajada Argentina went to Arroyos y Esteros, who overcame La Gloria 8–6. R. Marecos, E. Mezza, R. Mihanovich and F. Macchi formed the winning side, while La Gloria was represented by S. Brixuela, G. Mondolo, F. Arias and E. Silva.
In the Copa Federación Paraguaya de Polo, Medellín defeated RC 4 by 5–2. The winning team featured A. Mujica, Murdoch, G. Tewes and C. Busquet, while RC 4 was represented by Cnel. Cazal, R. Burna, V. Haywood and E. Carrillo.
The 131st edition was made possible thanks to the support and hospitality of the FIP Ambassador Eduardo Aviles, the Federación Paraguaya de Polo and its President, Juan José Arnold, whose commitment to the development and promotion of polo in Paraguay continues to strengthen the sport’s international connections.
Special thanks also go to the Regimiento de Caballería N° 4 for opening its doors and providing a memorable setting for this historic FIP event.
